How to Become a Member of PPC

If you would like to join the church, please call Melanie Bradley, Director of Welcoming Ministries. You will be expected to attend our Inquirer’s classes. The classes are in 2 sections, held on consecutive Sundays in Fellowship Hall, following the 11:00 worship service. The first part is one hour in length and refreshments are provided. The second part is 90 minutes in length and a light luncheon is provided. Child care is available upon request.

Are you interested in learning more about Paoli Presbyterian Church?
Are you a guest here, but don’t know if PPC is right for you?
What does this church have to offer you personally?
Would you like to learn about opportunities for service, spiritual growth, fellowship or Christian education?
What does it mean to be a member of Paoli Presbyterian Church?

The Inquirer’s classes are informal meetings where people gather to get questions answered and learn more about the church. This is an opportunity to spend time with our Head of Staff, the Reverend Dr. J. Patrick Vaughn, some of the elders, and the New Member Team. We will discuss what it means to be Presbyterian, a brief history of Paoli Presbyterian Church, and the available worship and ministry opportunities. There will also be an optional tour of our facilities. There is an invitation to join at the end of the class, but there is no obligation to join if you choose to attend the classes.

Schedule of Inquirer’s classes:

May 18th (1 session, 90 minutes in length)
September 21 and 28
November 15 and 22

Please contact Melanie Bradley melanie.bradley@paolipres.org or
call the church office at 610/644-8250.

People may join the Presbyterian Church in several different ways.

* Transfer of membership from another church

* Profession of faith (for those who have never joined a church or been baptized)

* Reaffirmation of faith (for those who not been active in the life of a church or whose
  church does not transfer membership)

Those who join by reaffirmation or profession do so by responding to these questions before the session.

* Do you turn to Jesus Christ and accept him as your Lord and Savior, trusting in his
  grace and love?

* Will you be Christ’s faithful disciple, obeying his Word and showing his love?

* Will you be a faithful member of this congregation, share in its worship and ministry
through your prayers and gifts, your study and services, and so fulfill your calling to
  be disciple of Jesus Christ?
