Inquirer's Classes

Calling ALL seekers and those wishing to join our church!

The Inquirer’s classes are informal meetings where people gather to get questions answered and learn more about the church. This is an opportunity to spend time with our Pastor Reverend Dr. Jeff Conway and our Associate Pastor Reverend Dr. James Churchill, some of the elders, and the New Member Team. We will discuss what it means to be Presbyterian, a brief history of Paoli Presbyterian Church, and the available worship and ministry opportunities. There will also be an optional tour of our facilities. There is an invitation to join at the end of the class, but there is no obligation to join if you choose to attend the classes.

People may join the Presbyterian Church in several different ways.

  1. Transfer of membership from another church
  2. Profession of faith (for those who have never joined a church or been baptized)
  3. Reaffirmation of faith (for those who have not been active in the life of a church or whose church does not transfer membership)
    1. Those who join by reaffirmation or profession of faith do so by responding to the following questions before Session
      1. Do you turn to Jesus Christ and accept him as your Lord and Savior, trusting in his grace and love?
      2. Will you be Christ's faithful disciple, obeying his Word and showing his love?
      3. Will you be a faithful member of this congregation, share in its worship and ministry through your prayer and gifts, your study and service, and so fulfill your calling to be a disciple of Jesus Christ?
If you have any questions about joining PPC, email our Associate Pastor Jim Churchill or contact the church office at office@paolipres.org or call 610.644.8250.
