![]() Paoli Presbyterian Church Staff Transition Report During the congregational meeting on October 30, a report of the PPC
Staff Transition Team was shared. This report completed the work of the
Session commissioned team asked to study staffing needs upon the
retirement of Jim Churchill in 2012. The team began its work by reviewing the 2008 Acts2Action report jointly produced by the congregation and leadership which acknowledged the heritage of PPC and provided vision for future ministry and staffing. This document informed the new pastor search process of 2009-2010 and was reaffirmed by Session in the Spring of 2011. At the conclusion of its work, the Staff Transition Team proposals include:
As the plan was being prepared for presentation to Session in September,
with a design to stagger the positions as funding became available, the
committee was made aware of a substantial gift allowing immediate
implementation. At its September meeting, Session affirmed the plan.
After giving approval of the plan, Session was informed of the special
financial gift. The same timing was implemented in the presentation to
the congregation on October 30. At each stage of discussion, clear
affirmation of the concept was received before the financing was shared.
The congregation approved a motion allowing for beginning the process
of filling the two new Associate Pastor positions. Upon implementation
of this plan, the church staff organization chart will look as follows:
