"They refused to obey, and were not mindful of the wonders that you performed among them; but they stiffened their necks and determined to return to their slavery in Egypt. But you are a God ready to forgive, gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and you did not forsake them." - Nehemiah 9:17
"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect." - Romans 12:2
Almighty God, we come before you giving thanks for all the wonderful things you have done for us. We also remember the times we have forgotten you and gone our own way. Have mercy on us and forgive us. We recommit ourselves to you and ask that you, through your Spirt, remind us of what you have done for us in the past and we trust what you will do In the future. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
